Arrive at Dehradun early in the morning to participate in the Vasuki Tal trek, which takes you past the glaciers of Gaumukh and the snout of Gangotri, as well as adventurous glacier crossings, boulder hopping, and other such activities. Tour Plan

Day 1 Dehradun to Gangotri (3,048 m) - 9-10 h drive.
  • We board cabs in the early morning from the holy town of Haridwar and go to Gangotri (1000 feet), the trailhead for our trip.
  • The trek takes around 10-12 hours.
  • Meal plan: Dinner and a welcome drink
  • Staying in a hotel for the night
Day 2 Gangotri to Bhojbasa (3,800 m)- 7-8 h trek
  • Gangotri (3048 meters/10000 feet) – Bhojwassa (3792 meters/12440 feet) 14 km walk (5-6 hours).
  • Begin your journey to Bhojwassa by passing via Chirbasa (3600m).
  • You will go along the worn path from Gangotri in Uttarkashi District to Chirbasa, which is on a tree line.
  • Trek by the raging Bhagirathi River.
  • The entire path from Chirbasa to Bhojwassa runs through deep forest.
  • When you get in Bhojwassa, there is a tiny shrine and a possible campground along the river.
  • Enjoy the spectacular sunset over the Bhagirathi range of peaks.
Day 03 Bhojbasa to Gaumukh (3,900 m) to Tapovan (4,335 m)- 7-8 h trek
  • Bhojwassa – Gomukh (3890 meters/12760 feet) – Tapovan (4463 meters / 14640 feet) – 13 kilometers
  • Enjoy the panoramic vista of the Bhagirathi group of peaks first thing in the morning.

  • Explore the surroundings and hike to Tapovan, one of the area’s best high altitude alpine meadows.
  • The journey from Gomukh to Tapovan is difficult, and as we climb, we get a better perspective of the surrounding peaks.
  • Enjoy the view of herds of Bharal (blue mountain goats), which are prevalent from here on mountain slopes. The Bhagirathi I, II, and III (6454m) provide a similarly spectacular background on the other side of the glacier.
  • Arrive at Tapovan and set up tent.
  • Dinner and an overnight stay in camp are included.
Day 04 Tapovan to Nandanvan (4,340 m)- 7-8 h trek
  • Tapovan – Meru Glacier – Nandanvan (4340 m/14235/4-5 hour trek).
  • Begin your journey to the magnificent Meru Glacier early.
  • We return to Nandanvan via Gomukh glacier after a brief stop to examine Meru Glacier.
  • The path from Tapovan runs from the higher half of the meadow to the glacier.
  • Turn left out of Gomukh towards Nandanvan (4340m), and you’ll be on top of the Gangotri glacier.
  • Investigate the massive crevasses that have opened up here and there.
  • There is a vertical incline for roughly a kilometer after walking.
  • Tents are used for dinner and overnight stays.
Day 5 Nandanvan to Vasuki Tal (4,463 m)- 3-4 h trek
  • The hike follows the right side of the Chaturangi Glacier till we reach the highest point of our journey, the high altitude lake of Vasuki Tal, at 4880 meters.
  • The lake is also a lovely base for Mt Satopanth and Mt Vasuki. The ascent is gradual.
Day 06 Vasuki Tal to Bhojbasa (3,800 m)- 5-6 h trek
  • We return through the Gangotri glacier to the Bhojbasa campsite.
  • Dinner and an overnight stay at the camp are included.
Day 07 Bhojbasa to Gangotri (3,048 m)- 4-5 h trek
  • We return to Gangotri over the same route we took the first day, looking back and sharing our journey experiences.
  • Overnight Hotel Stay
Day 8 Gangotri to Dehradun- 9-10 h drive
  • After breakfast, prepare to journey to Haridwar.
  • Enjoy the breathtaking views of the pine woods, beautiful mountains, and verdant pastures.
  • The tour has come to an end.

  • Climatic conditions in high altitudes differ from those on the plains; allow enough time to acclimate to high altitudes.
  • Pay attention to the trek guides and instructors in order to have a safe and enjoyable journey.
  • Any personal costs, products of a personal nature, meals not specifically indicated, and so on will not be included in the package.
  • Camping is a pretty fundamental activity in nature. Luxuries should not be expected. Electricity may only be provided in a few regions.
  • All of the activities are weather dependent.
  • The Vasuki Tal hike passes through an eco-friendly zone; please refrain from polluting the local sites or campsites. Littering by travelers may result in a fine.
  • The administration retains the right to alter the Vasuki Tal walk in the event of an emergency or natural calamity.
  • It is essential that you bring adequate warm clothing and the appropriate trekking shoes for the hike.
  • The Vasuki Tal hike is not advised for children under the age of 7.

How to reach

By Rail:

The nearest railway station is Rishikesh 234 km before Gangotri on NH58 and is well connected by railway network with major destinations of India. Trains to Rishikesh are frequent. Taxis and buses are available from Rishikesh, Tehri Garhwal, Uttarkashi, and many other destinations to Gangotri.

By Air:

How to reach  by Air- The nearest airport to Gangotri is Jolly Grant Airport which is located around at the distance of 250kms. This airport is well linked to Delhi and there are numbers of daily flights to Delhi which connects to major parts of the country.

By Road:

Gangotri can be reached only via road in a bus, privately operated jeeps, SUVs/ other vehicles. The journey from Rishikesh takes about 12 hours. Taxi/Jeeps are also available from Taxi Stations in Rishikesh, Haridwar & Dehradun. Tourist cabs are available from Dehradun/Rishikesh.

Booking Confirmation Policy
  • The customer receives a confirmation voucher via email within 24 hours of successful booking
  • In case the preferred slots are unavailable, an alternate schedule of the customer’s preference will be arranged and a new confirmation voucher will be sent via email
  • Alternatively, the customer may choose to cancel their booking before confirmation and a full refund will be processed.
Refund Policy
  • The applicable refund amount will be processed within 15 business days

Cancellation Policy
  • If cancellations are made 30 days before the start date of the trip, 25% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made 15-30 days before the start date of the trip, 50% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellations are made within 0-15 days before the start date of the trip, 100% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • In case of unforeseen weather conditions or government restrictions, certain trips or activities may get cancelled. In such cases operator will try their best to provide an alternate feasible. However a cash refund will not be applicable for the same.
