  • We will arrange a taxi from Ukhimath to Sari, which will take around 6 to 7 hours.
  • Sari is a little hamlet near Ukhimath; after lunch, you may explore the area before beginning your climb to Deoria Tal, which is located at an elevation of 7000 feet.
  • It’s only a 2-kilometer trek from Sari and shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to get there.
  • After trekking 800 meters, you will come to an old Shiva temple, which is a well-known monument.
  • Continue going and after 300 meters, you will find some room to relax by resting on the seats provided by the forest department.
  • On the north side, you will see the spectacular Kedarnath Range, and you will approach the camping field, which can accommodate up to 200 people, after paying Rs.150.
  • Take plenty of water with you because there are no other places to acquire water along the way.
Day 02 Chopta or Martoli
  • The trip to the camping location is 14 kilometers long, although the climbs are gentle and spread apart.
  • Take a peek at the valley from a guard tower on the far north side of the lake.
  • The route is gentle at first, then after 2 to 3 kilometers, there is an abrupt and hard rise to Jhandi summit.
  • Depending on your walking speed, the ascent might take anything from 30 minutes to an hour.
  • The picturesque Kedarnath range and Chaukhamba may be seen on your left, while lush woods can be seen on your right.
  • After about an hour of walking on the level route, you will fall to the east for 300 meters, followed by a 200-meter-long straight ascent with hillocks on both sides.
  • While trekking, look for a succession of wide grasslands that will bring you to a spot where the Changey waterfall hits the earth and where you may camp with a group of 8 to 10 people.
  • There is a concrete bridge across this creek; cross it and follow the uphill route until you reach Martoli after about an hour of walking.
  • Martoli is located around 45 minutes from the state route that links Ukhimuth to Gopeshwar.
Day 03 Trek to Thungnath
  • Wake up early and begin your adventure at 3:00 AM, walking to Thungnath.
  • Thunganth is an old Shiva temple where you may find peace and marvel at nature’s grandeur.
  • Remember to have something to eat on the way because it is difficult to eat breakfast in the early morning.
  • The final leg of the ascent to Tungnath is a lengthy steep climb of roughly 300-400 meters.
  • Climb to Chandrashilla, which forms the background of Tungnath Temple on the eastern side, which will take almost an hour and is one kilometer long; the climb is not extremely steep, but the altitude can make the trek difficult.
  • Return to Chopta to spend the night.
